Now to the Shopping Centre CUP by boat, a new way to reach the shopping centre

14 October, 2025

A strategically good location and fast, varied accessibility are among the key criteria for success, helping to maintain the appeal of shopping centres as they compete with e-commerce. The Shopping Centre CUP, located in Vilnius Central Business District (CBD), is now accessible by boat – a new mode of transport implemented by the management of Vilnius City. This solution further expands the options for consumers to move around the heart of Vilnius with ease.

When residents of the capital are choosing where to shop or spend their free time with loved ones, a convenient shopping centre location, various access options and parking spaces suitable for different modes of transport become particularly important.

The Shopping Centre CUP can be reached by car, bicycle or electric scooter, and from now on – also by electric passenger boat travelling across the river Neris.

According to Ona Nevinskienė, Manager of the Shopping Centre CUP, the variety of travel options, multi-storey car parks, convenient parking from Upės Street, bicycle racks and other parking spaces for vehicles have a direct impact on customer satisfaction.

“When people know they can choose how to get to the shopping centre and, once there, find a safe place to leave their vehicle, they are happier to go there, and the shopping experience is positive. We care for all visitors – whether they are car drivers, cyclists or scooter riders.”
