The renovated premises are bigger, more comfortable, more modern
The National Blood Centre (NBC), which attracts the largest number of blood donors in Lithuania, is celebrating World Blood Donor Day in the renovated premises of the Vilnius CUP Shopping Centre. The extremely comfortable and modern design not only allows for more donors to be welcomed, but it also gives hopes that the welcoming environment will make them feel more comfortable and encourage them to return.
"No matter how much we are amazed by advances in medical science, no perfect substitute for human blood has been created. We therefore see the cooperation with the NBC as a particularly meaningful partnership in the context of our social projects on health. The renovation of the facilities where we receive blood donors was, of course, primarily based on the need to make these activities more efficient. On the other hand, it is also part of a comprehensive renovation and expansion of the entire shopping centre. While we set the aesthetic bar high for our premises, we could not bypass the spaces where non-commercial activities of particular importance to the public take place," says Ona Nevinskienė, the Head of the CUP Shopping Centre.
