A time for good deeds: visitors to the CUP went to give blood and the shopping centre supported the medics
With treatment facilities voicing concerns about the declining number of blood donors and dwindling blood stocks, the National Blood Centre (NBC), based in the capital's CUP Shopping Centre, counted the growth in donor numbers last year compared to 2019. The NBC subdivision at the CUP is an ongoing project and during the pandemic period – a difficult time for the shopping centre – the health facilities were a particular focus, when the shopping centre donated Eur 30,000 to them on two occasions.
